Christianity today seems to be more accurately defined by its differences than by its similarities. What began with a singular focus on faith in and devotion to Jesus Christ has become thousands of different denominations, each with its own unique approach to expressing what it means to be a follower of the risen Christ. During the sermon series we will see that the Christian faith, in reality, is more like a singular tree with many, many branches. We might also think of it as a family where some members enjoy extremely warm and close relationships, other members are more distant from the rest and other members that we don’t understand at all. Our objective during this sermon series is to develop a healthy trust and respect f or the other members of our Christian “family” and to see the differences as unique expressions of faith we can all learn from and profit by.
Please join us at 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. every Sunday as we explore “Christianity’s Family Tree.” This week’s sermon: Presbyterianism: The Sovereignty of God
